Membership

Welcome !

Bairnsdale Rowing Club (BRC) warmly welcomes all new members to our friendly and relaxed Club where we encourage everyone to enjoy their rowing as competitors, coaches, coxswains or social rowers.

Membership of BRC

Being a member of BRC means a lot more than just rowing.  We encourage our members to contribute to the Club's social, recreational, sporting and competitive activities in the following ways:

  • Voluntary coaching
  • Voluntary coxing
  • Leading crews
  • Driving our trailer to regattas
  • Committee membership or helping with committee activities
  • Organising social functions and fundraisers

Our club

We are a small, friendly club, nestled above the banks of the beautiful Mitchell River.  We cater to all rowing abilities and our membership includes all ages and abilities from novices to masters.  We also offer Learn to Row courses from time to time  (generally in the Spring and Autumn) for anyone who wants to have a go!

We are grateful for and respect the diversity and contribution of all our members in keeping our Club vibrant and active.

Membership Options

Take a look at our membership options on our "membership options" page (the link is on the right hand side of your screen).  Registering as a new member or renewing an existing membership can be done online using the 'Register' or 'Renew' buttons at the bottom of the Membership Options page.

Registrations and renewals are reviewed by the Committee before final approval.  You may need to allow up to 30 days for approval (at the next Committee meeting).  Approval of volunteer memberships (particularly where this involves supervision of juniors) will take longer because of the Club's obligations to comply with Child Protection and other screening processes.

Please contact us by email (bairnsdaleRC@gmail.com) if you need assistance or have any questions.
